CORONA NORCO ALL-STAR BAND TO LEAD SANTA PARADE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tree Lighting Ceremony * Live Reindeer * Ice Skating * Santa Photos * Carriage Rides
CORONA, Calif. (November 12, 2010) – The Promenade Shops at Dos Lagos ushers in the holiday season with a Santa Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, November 20. The holiday festivities begin at 11 am throughout the center’s main street and amphitheater. The Christian Arts Theater Candy Cane Group performance kicks off the holiday event at 11 a.m. on stage at the Dos Lagos Amphitheater, and the California Baptist University “Light” ensemble performs on stage at 1:30 p.m.
Families will have a chance to meet Donner and Blitzen, two of Santa’s “live” reindeer, walk in the Santa Parade, enjoy the wonder of the Tree Lighting Ceremony, ice skate, take a free horse drawn carriage ride, and visit Santa’s Workshop after the parade for Santa photos and children’s activity.
The Promenade Shops at Dos Lagos is proud to partner with the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Orange County and the Inland Empire (MAW) to donate all ice skating proceeds on November 20 to MAW. Three MAW children will be Santa and Mrs. Claus’ special guests in the parade.
Families are encouraged to arrive early at The Promenade Shops at Dos Lagos, located at 2708 Cabot Drive in Corona, to enjoy a full day of holiday activities:
11 am – 4 pm Holiday performances at the Dos Lagos Amphitheater
2 – 7 pm Free visits with live reindeer on Cabot Drive near Talbots
2 – 9 pm Ice skating on Cabot Drive between Banana Republic and Coldwater Creek
4:45 pm Corona Norco All-Star Band leads Santa’s parade (see attached parade route)
5:15 pm Tree Lighting Ceremony begins in front of the Dos Lagos Amphitheater
5:15 – 7:45 pm Free Horse drawn carriage rides around Dos Lagos; board the carriage on Lakeshore Drive near TAPS
5:30 – 9 pm Photos with Santa, meet Mrs. Claus, and participate in a coloring activity at Santa’s Workshop at the north-end of the center near New York & Co.
5:45 – 7:45 pm Gib Noble Quartet holiday jazz perform at the Dos Lagos Amphitheater
“It is our goal for the community to celebrate the holidays close to home this year,” said Giovanna Calambrogio, property manager for The Promenade Shops at Dos Lagos. “So, we are providing an exciting lineup of holiday activities for the whole family and a shopping destination that is sure to tackle a number of gifts on those Christmas lists.”
The Holiday Ice Skating rink and Santa’s Workshop will be open throughout the holiday season. Cost for ice skating is $10 per hour and skate rental is $3.
The Holiday Ice Rink will be open through January 2, 2011, and Santa’s Workshop will be open through December 24. Following are the Holiday Ice Skating and Santa’s Workshop hours:

Mondays – Thursdays: 4 – 10 pm
Fridays – Sundays: 2 – 10 pm
Tuesdays: 11 am – 9 pm
Wednesdays – Thursdays: 4 – 9 pm
Fridays – Sundays: 11 am – 9 pm
